Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Impex Infotech (Rajkot, Gujarat, India) handles personal data for the WPRank website at https://wprank.in and the WPRank WordPress plugin. In this policy "we" and "us" mean Impex Infotech, and "you" means the person using the site or the plugin.

The short version

We collect as little as we can. We do not sell your data to anyone. The free plugin does not phone home, and it does not send us your site's content.

What the website collects

Information you give us

• Contact form: your name, email address, subject and message. We use it to answer you, and we keep it so we have a record of the conversation.
• Waitlist: your email address, and optionally your site URL. We use it to email you once when the Pro add-on launches.
• Account and orders (when paid plans launch): your name, email address, company name, phone number, country and billing details.

Information collected automatically

• Server logs: our host records IP addresses, browser type and pages requested, as standard for any web server. These are used for security and diagnostics.
• Session cookie: a single cookie named `wprnk` that keeps you logged in. It holds no personal data — only a session identifier. It expires when you close your browser.

We do not run advertising trackers, and we do not embed third-party analytics that profile you across other sites.

What the plugin collects

The free WPRank plugin stores its settings and SEO data in your own WordPress database, on your own server. It does not transmit that data to us.

Two features contact outside services, and only when you turn them on:

• IndexNow submits the URL of a post you publish or update to Bing and Yandex, so they can recrawl it. Only the URL is sent.
• AI writer sends the text you ask it to work on to whichever AI provider you configured, using your own API key and your own account with that provider. We are not in the middle of that request and never see it.

If a paid licence is active, the Pro add-on will contact https://wprank.in to check the licence key and the site it is installed on. That check sends the licence key and the site URL, nothing else.

Legal basis and why we hold it

We process your data because you asked us to do something (answer a message, add you to a waitlist, fulfil an order), because we have a legitimate interest in keeping the service secure, or because Indian tax law requires us to keep transaction records.

How long we keep it

• Contact messages: up to 24 months, then deleted.
• Waitlist entries: until the Pro add-on launches, or until you ask us to remove you.
• Transaction and invoice records: as long as Indian tax law requires, currently eight years.
• Server logs: typically 30 days, controlled by our hosting provider.

Who else sees it

We share data only with the suppliers we need to run the service:

• Our web host, which stores the site and its database.
• Our email provider, which delivers messages to you.
• Our payment processor, when paid plans launch. Card details go directly to them — they never touch our servers and we never store them.

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data. We will disclose data if a court or law enforcement agency lawfully requires it.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it. Email support@wprank.in and we will act within 30 days. If you are in the EU or UK, you also have the right to receive your data in a portable format and to complain to your data protection authority.

To leave the waitlist, one email to support@wprank.in is enough — no forms.

Children

The service is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

Passwords are stored hashed, never in plain text. The site is served over HTTPS. Database access is restricted to the application. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures appropriate to the size of what we hold.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. Material changes will be announced on the site.
