Structured data is how you tell search engines and AI systems what a page is, not just what it says: this is an article, written by this person, published by this organisation, about this product, at this address. Done well, it helps your pages qualify for rich results and makes your business easier for machines to understand and cite.
Impex Rank SEO adds it for you as a single, connected JSON-LD @graph, free, with no code and no per-type add-ons.

One graph, not a pile of snippets
Many sites end up with five separate schema blocks from five sources: the theme adds one, a reviews plugin adds another, a breadcrumb plugin a third. None of them reference each other, so a search engine has to guess that the "Organization" in one block is the "publisher" in another.
Impex Rank SEO outputs one @graph where every node has an @id and points at the others. The article's publisher is your Organization node, its mainEntityOfPage is the WebPage, and the WebPage isPartOf the WebSite. That is the structure Google's documentation describes, and it is easier for any parser to follow.
What is included
| Schema type | Where it comes from |
|---|---|
| Organization or Person | Setup Wizard: is this site a business or an individual; name and logo |
| WebSite + Sitelinks Searchbox | Automatic |
| WebPage | Automatic on every indexable page |
| BreadcrumbList | Automatic; matches the [impex_breadcrumbs] trail |
| Article / BlogPosting / NewsArticle | Default per post type, overridable per post |
| Product | Product pages, WooCommerce-aware |
| FAQPage | Question/answer pairs you add in the editor (Advanced tab, + Add FAQ) |
| LocalBusiness | Local SEO screen: business type, phone, address, PIN/postal code, country, latitude and longitude |
| sameAs | Your social profile links from the Social screen |
Per post, the Advanced tab of the SEO box lets you pick WebPage, Article, BlogPosting, NewsArticle, Product or None, so a page that another tool describes can opt out.
FAQ schema without code
Add questions and answers in the post editor and the plugin writes valid FAQPage markup. Put the same questions on the page itself too; Google's rules say FAQ markup must match content visitors can see.
Be realistic about rich results. Since August 2023 Google has shown FAQ rich results mainly for well-known government and health websites. The markup is still worth having: it is valid structured data, other search engines and AI assistants read it, and a clear question-and-answer section helps human readers anyway. Our guide how to add FAQ schema in WordPress without code covers the details.
LocalBusiness for shops, clinics and service firms
If you serve customers at a location, fill in Impex Rank SEO → Local SEO: business type (LocalBusiness, ProfessionalService, Store, Restaurant, MedicalBusiness, HomeAndConstructionBusiness, LegalService and more), phone with country code, street address, city, state, postal code, two-letter country code and map coordinates, then tick Enable Local Business schema (it is off by default, because not every site is a local business). Keep it identical to your Google Business Profile. Small businesses in India will find a fuller checklist in WordPress SEO for small businesses in India.
Built to avoid the usual mistakes
- Opt out per page. Set the schema type to None in the Advanced tab for pages that should not carry an Article or Product entity.
- Escaped safely. Output is hardened against script-context breakout, so a stray character in a title cannot break the page.
- Test the live URL. Use Google's Rich Results Test or the Schema Markup Validator on the published page, not a preview.
- One source of truth. Run one SEO plugin at a time. If you are moving from another plugin, see switching from Yoast or Rank Math.

Frequently asked questions
Which schema types does Impex Rank SEO output?
Organization or Person, WebSite with a Sitelinks Searchbox, WebPage, BreadcrumbList, Article, BlogPosting or NewsArticle, Product (WooCommerce-aware), FAQPage and LocalBusiness, all in one connected JSON-LD graph.
Do I need to write any code?
No. Site-wide details come from the Setup Wizard and the Schema and Local SEO screens. Per-post choices, including FAQ questions and answers, are in the Advanced tab of the SEO box in the editor.
Will FAQ schema give me rich results in Google?
Probably not on its own. Since August 2023 Google shows FAQ rich results mainly for well-known government and health sites. The markup is still valid, helps other engines and AI systems understand the page, and costs nothing to add.
How do I test my schema?
Run the live, published URL through Google's Rich Results Test or the Schema Markup Validator. Drafts and previews are not publicly reachable, so always test the real page.
Can I use it with another schema plugin?
Avoid it. Two plugins describing the same page usually produce duplicate or conflicting entities. Choose one source of schema, or set the schema type to None on pages another tool handles.
